Battery meter
I am new to golf carts and have a question.
I recently purchased a Yamaha G19E. The batteries are 2 years old and charge and hold a charge well. Following a full charge the charger indicates a full charge and the cart runs incredibly well. The battery meter will not reset and show a full charge. I unplugged the wires for a manual reset with success. Following use it showed at about half on digital dash meter, cart was charged and the meter stayed at half. What needs to take place to have the meter recognize a full charge with out a manual reset. Thanks for any help. |

Re: Battery meter
Are you leaving the charger on until it completes it's cycle?
Depending on the model, the meter should self reset when the voltage reaches somewhere between 2.16v and 2.35v per cell. The model is designated with a letter in the model number. Post up the model of your meter and all the numbers on it to give you the actual reset voltage. For a 36v cart, 38.9v to 42.3v and for a 48v cart, 51.8v to 56.4v. |
