3" or 6" lift kit
I am new owner of a 2010 EZGO RVX, and new to the forum so please excuse any errors to the format of this request. I have been searching around, reading lots of great advice and now have a load of anticipated accessories, and alterations that I am looking forward to purchasing, and installing to my new ride!
My first question in a list of many to follow is, other than the overall height, why would one choose a 3" or 6" lift kit? I am going to be using this at campgrounds, and at the cottage on reasonably maintained roads. 2nd'ly, can anyone give me any idea of the new width the cart will become with a spindle lift kit? As any project, you by the cart, fits into the existing 49" wide trailer, but once you start adding..................now I may need to change trailer too! This game never ends, but happy to be on board1 |

Re: 3" or 6" lift kit
The main thing is what size wheels and tires will fit. 3 inch lift 22s, 5 or 6 inch lift 23s or bigger. But dont qoute me on it.

Re: 3" or 6" lift kit
If you buy a spindle lift kit i suggest you the 3” because 6" spindle are not stable because the rxv is 2" higher than regular golf cart... If you really want a 6" lift kit go with the rhox a arm lift kit.....

Re: 3" or 6" lift kit
Thanks for the input, and response. I feel that the 3" is the way to go for me. I have read in other posts that there is a stability issue. can anyone let me know what the width difference will be once lifted?

Re: 3" or 6" lift kit
FYI... Madjax will be coming out with a 4" a-arm lift kit for the RXV reportedly sometime this month (April). My dealer couldn't tell me for sure but the factory estimated it would be soon.

Re: 3" or 6" lift kit
Does anyone know what the new width dimension would become of the front end outer wheel to wheel with a "spindle lift kit"? Assuming I kept the stock tire on for transporting.

Re: 3" or 6" lift kit
Thanks for the reply JD62! The cart stock, for now, a 2010 EZGO rxv, has a width of 47" from outside to outside tires. My trailer is 49"X 98" box utility which hauls the ATV, and is fine for now, but once I start modifying it and making it my own, I am afraid I could be looking at a new trailer too.
