Curtis 1264 - 5407 controller showing 2-4
Hi all, I have just installed 8 x new batteries to a 2009 EZ Go 4/6 shuttle that I am wanting to use on a worksite, buggy now drives but is very slow (obviously limp mode) the Curtis Controller is flashing out a 2-4 code which is Main Driver On fault - Solenoid driver defective - replace controller - my question is - is this able to be repaired by an electronics repair person i.e. replace solenoid driver components or is just better to buy a replacement speed controller?? Has anybody done this ?? I am in Australia and have been quoted $3,782 AUD plus freight for a 1268 controller that needs to be modified - does anyone know what modifications need to be done to make a 1268 controller work as a 1264??
Any insight you may have would be awesome - Thanks guys |

I normally don't recommend a rebuilt controller but saying that $3,782.00 AUD is a lot of money. There are several repair shops on the internet if you look.

I would go with an aftermarket controller like Alltrax. More flexible and probably much cheaper. I don't know how much in AUD but they are about $500 in the USA.
