Guys, would it be better to ask if this cart has an OBC and how many wires coming out of the V-glide box to decide what system this cart has? A 94 1/2 or 95 or a mutant. Just thinking out loud.

He has a 1995 Club Car DS 48v Series, as indicated by pictures of the serial number and battery compartment. Yes, it has an OBC

OK CCFan, please confirm. He has a broken lug of m/s #2, the wrong m/s at #3 and an un-accounted for wire for m/s #3. Yes ???

I don't think so, if it was a 3 wire vglide and the green wire was missing, the cart would not work at all (the green wire is the 5v source for the vglide in that system).
It must be a 2 wire vglide, easy enough to check when you get home, just look at it or take a picture and post. The easiest thing to do is to disconnect the white wire in micro #3, the 2 wire vglide added a resistor in parallel with the vglide to reduce the maximum speed when in reverse. |

It looks like those earlier 95 models, he has one built in 1994, still used the 2 wire vglides.
Here is a better diagram of the 95 2 wire vglide. Because the resistor is in parallel, it will not make a difference if the wires are changed. I was also surprised he was told the microswitch is not sold separately, I would definitely not go back to that place. I had added a link to a site sponsor, as long as #1 microswitch is working, the other ones are not critical and can be replaced later. |
