Default G1 Flooding Bad

It's been a while since I have posted on here and just want to say hi and thanks for any help in advance. I just bought a G1 and it's loading up bad(flooding). Raw fuel is actually coming out the exhaust. I have had this problem on carts before and it turned out to be a bad fuel pump diaphram sucking fuel into the vacuum line and into the crankcase. This time the vacuum is dry as it should be but it's definitely acting like the other motors that had ruptured diaphrams. I have rebuilt and looked the carb over twice and everything is spotless and functioning(I cleaned all the jets and everything). The needle seems to be seating fine because I am blowing into the fuel inlet when the float boal is full and I can't get any air through. I've also adjusted the fuel mixture screw from all the way in to all the way out and there is no difference what so ever. Should I try and adjust the float level? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Well, I adjusted the floats and still flooding. I had a spare carb that worked and I took the needle/seat, all the jets in the float, and the float out and put it in the good one. I put it on and it was still doing it. The only jet I did not replace because the other carb did not have one was the one that goes in the top of the carb. I left the air filter disconnected from the carb when running and droplets of gas were spraying out of the carb. I even put another fuel pump on and it didn't help. I have a clear vacuum line on the fuel pump and there was no gas being sucked into it. However, when I removed the vacuum line with the cart running it would dump gas out of the line and run great until it ran out of fuel. Could the carb be dumping that much gas into the crankcase? Is it possible that a carb just can't be rebuilt anymore? I've rebuilt many many small engine carbs and never found one that needed replacing. Could there be something else wrong internally with the motor, or is the carb the only problem at this point. Thanks again for the help!

I figured it out! The overflow line coming off the carb was pluged inside. It must need air to get into the float bowl.

Very nice of you to share the trouble shooting problem and fix. Hopefully the next guy will do a "search" for a simular problem and learn from your help and post. Thanks again. dave

Yes it did help the next guy!
My post is ten years later, my overflow had a cap on it ever since I've owned it. Took it off after new carb, fuel pump etc. and it finally runs great.
By the way where does the overflow tube go to?
Thanks
