Default Center steering wheel

Just took my brand new EZ GO RXV 48 Volt for its maiden drive. Love it, but one small issue. When driving straight on any road surface, I.e. slopped or flat, when going straight there is no pull, but the steering wheel top center points at 11 o’clock.
Being a real pain to go back to dealer, can I remove the steering wheel and rotate it straight and reinstall or is that not the procedure? How many splines to move it from 11 O’clock to 12 O’clock?

Yes, you can. DRive it in a straight line so you are certain the cart is straight (With the wheel tilted). Pull the wheel off and put it on straight. loosely tighten the nut, you may have to repeat and make small adjustments. once the wheel is centered tighten the nut back down.

Just keep an eye for tire wear. if the tires start to wear unevenly, you'll want to take it into the dealer and have it fixed correctly.

^^^ what he said......but just wanted to add, in the event you didn't know, the shaft is SPLINED, and the steering wheel is as well, so its easy to make small changes from left to right or the other way around.

Did you pop yourself in the nose when the wheel popped off? I have seen 2 people do that, they always seem to get real mad about their mistake of not leaving the nut loosely installed when pulling on the wheel.

Think that I'll put this on my list of things to do. Center the steering wheel, not pop myself in the nose. HaHa

Great it's all done. The only thing I would like to add is make sure your tires are properly inflated and you are on a level surface when you do this.

Sounds like yours are but others reading this might need to know this.

Not to hijack this thread, but I tried to get the wheel off of Yamaha G22 and it seems to be seriously stuck on. I put a 2x4 on the bottom of the wheel and banged the board with a rubber mallet. It won't come. Also, is the steering wheel not being set straight a mis-installation or an alignment problem?

Steering wheel being not centered does’nt mean alignment is out.
As for getting steering wheel off. Keep soaking with Wd 40 or bp blaster.
It will come loose sonner or later. Also while pulling steering wheel towards you tap on steering wheel shaft with dead blow hammer as not to damage threads. This too can break it loose.
Remember only loosen steering shaft nut a few turns when trying to remove to avoid face smack.
