Default Dads ezgo

My dad got a ezgo golf cart as part of a trade in for a boat. Anyway not long after that a "person" stole the battery's in the process cut all the wires too I suppose they went to the scrap yard.

Anyway he bought new battery's not realizing they were 8 volt hooked them up and fried the controller.

I need help in identifying the model I will get pictures tomorrow. The date code inplys that it's an 04 but it's not a pds it has a lever under the seat with a rod that goes to the far passenger side to the actual F/R switch. It has a rear seat that looks to be factory

Youch! At least you have determined.its a "series" cart. The battery configuration was the same for all the ezgos of that era. Easy to find here and elsewhere.

Since you need a new controller anyway, why not get an Alltrax 48 volt and keep the batteries. If you do that, you'll need a new charger and solenoid, but you'll have to balance that against selling "used" batteries and buying new ones.

You can read about controllers at http://cartsunlimited.net/Custom_Options.html

The best performance upgrade for a series cart is 48v operation. You have the batteries, you need 48v controller, solenoid, & charger.
