As stated earlier in the thread the c clip (snap ring) will be the most troubling part about the mod, not only removing it but install is a tad easier. Hard to believe that the rear axles are held in place by them flimsy C clips, it is fairly hard to see if you got the C clips back into the groove...

Agreed....what a PITA! But, with a "Quality" pair of Snap ring pliers...its smooth sailing...

Thumb control. It's all about thumb control. If you're right handed, like I am, squeeze the pliers with your right hand and hold the snap ring steady with your left thumb while you squeeze it down. It makes a huge difference. Apply pressure to it as if you were holding it into place until the pliers are fully squeezed down, then try and work the clip out by rotating the pliers up and down while pulling outward slowly. It's an acquired task and that's the best way I know how to explain it.

Just went for a rip around the neighbourhood and other than worried I was gonna spit an axle out (worried I didn't get the C clip seated) all I can say is WOW what a difference in brake feel , before my brakes pulsated and now there a smooth engagement . Even though I originally did the mod to fix my extremely tight brake cable it was definitely worth it just for the smoother brake feel ...

Yes it's definitely a better feel. Feels like stock.

Wish I had paid a little more attention to this post before I finished the install of the rear axle. Oh well I would rather it be right before I use the cart the first time. I do like the looks of the cart after the lift, easier to get in and out of too. I wonder is there a U Tube for Dummies on this?

YouTube video would be cool but honestly its a really straight forward mod...once you get the brake drums off and pull the brake shoes, its pretty much smooth sailing after that...
The worst part I experienced was removing snap rings that hold axles in but it was all due to crappy snap ring pliers...
I printed the instructions off from this post and used it as a reference... Its really simple. Glad I did it!
