body repair
I have a vintage G1 that has a damaged front clip. I understand that the front is made front some kind of plastic. can anyone tell me what I can use to repair the cracks. Someone before me has made a very crude attempt to fix with what looks like a mesh tape over the large cracks and bondo filler over the tape.

Re: body repair
whatever material is used, it must be somewhat flexible when cured. i have done some repairs with "plastic bumper repair epoxy" from the auto parts store. might be better if something stiff were epoxied to the back side for strength where it wont be seen, then bumper repair epoxy on the visible side?

Re: body repair
Doesn't take much to put a G2 front clip on it if you can find one. Take a look at my Avatar.
