Noticed on the wiring diagram there is a switch for personality mode. Anyone ever tried this? And where would you change the parameters?

There are a few of them, and they are binary encoded. Uses the profiles as modes, and the binary code allows selection of which profile is active. A BCD thumbwheel switch would allow you to access all of the modes with a single rotating switch.
