G1 Body Repair
I recently got a 1985 G1 and the front is cracked.
Are these bodies made of fiberglass? Are there other front clips that I can swap with? Any how to's with pics? I've seen some g9 and a g16 swap but no how-to pics... What should I repair the crack with? |

Re: G1 Body Repair
Early G1 front cowels (1979/1980 maybe even 1981) were fiberglass, 1982 and up are "Urethane". How "bad" is it? If all the peices are there, it is possible you could use "JB Weld for plastic. But, painting flexiable plastics can be a pain and like Sontag said, the desighn center section has a very helpfull member named "master66" that is a real helper. As for another front cowel...The sky is the limit if you have fab skill's, Take a look at "Thenewguy's" ,"Geep1" build.....just awsome

Re: G1 Body Repair
I reposted in the design center. I've got pretty good fab skills. Never rebuilt a golf cart though. I'm just trying to figure out what other front clips will fit the best with the frame.
