![]() I've recently completed an upgrade to a LiPO4 battery on my stock i40. For those who have modified their controller programming for more speed and/or acceleration - what are the amperages being drawn under hard acceleration, going uphill under heavy load or what you consider the most demanding conditions? I'm considering mods to my controller but don't want to overtax the BMS (200 amp continuous/400 amps for 35 seconds).

![]() I think Toyoguru nailed it. I’m seeing the same with new 235/60r14 tires and moderate load. With the old tires it was much less.

![]() Thanks for the answers. For now, I suppose I'll just...golf! When I really consider this, I really can't answer the question of "why would you do this?" Actually, I just use the cart for golf, and it's already faster than anything else on the course. If I end up changing, it'll just be an exercise in curiosity. But I do appreciate the answers.

![]() A lot of us register these and drive them on the road. Going faster than 25 helps keep up with traffic.

![]() Please don't misconstrue my decision to delay seeking additional speed for my cart as anything other than me being me. I use my cart for golf and the occasional 1/2-mile trip to the club for drinks, dinner, meetings, swimming... I admire the ingenuity of those who have jumped into the pool of getting their cart to meet their needs in a better way. It's my respect of those skills that even got me to consider making controller mods to my cart. Who knows, I still might decide to jump in and do those mods in the future; it's just that right now, it doesn't make sense for me or my purpose for the cart.
