![]() What’s up y’all. Picked up a 1993 Club Car DS 36V from a relative. Had stopped running a few months back and they just wanted it gone. I was looking for a neighborhood/campground cruiser for the wife and kids so I bought it and started tearing it apart. A few of the electrical connections were corroded and battery cables were shot. Instead of chasing electrical demons, I found a diagram online and started from scratch. Replaced every wire with 16 gauge Ancor wire and heat shrink connectors. Also replaced battery cables with new 2 gauge along with a new solenoid. Went over to the local Costco and picked up 6 new batteries. Pulled the V Glide, controller and F/R switch and cleaned all of the copper and connections. Replaced all of the hardware with stainless steel and put it back together. Runs like a champ! Got the cart up to 15 mph. Wanted extra lighting and other accessories so I picked up a switch panel with fuse/relay box and added a voltage regulator along with 12V and 36V busbars. Replaced the plywood and added staple on seat covers all around, along with heat for the front seats. Had a clunk in the steering so I rebuilt that along with new steering wheel. And replaced all of the lighting with LED along with under glow and flood lights. Joined this site and saw the lifted carts. So I added a MadJax 6” lift and Steeleng 22x11x8 wheels and tires. Top speed is now 18 mph. Added new ball joints, shocks and brakes. Sand blasted and painted the rear seat frame and uprights and replaced the front top strut with a black one. This weekend added a MadJax overhead console with Sony head unit and speakers. Body is kind of beat up but it will stay that way for a while. Just want to add a longer top for the rear passengers.
