Default Precedent Seat Belts? Help

Hi All

I am trying to get my 07 Precedent street legal here in Florida and have been trying to work out how to add seat belts but for the life of me I can't work out how to attach them as the whole thing is plastic! I have a picture which I will try post shortly, I have taken the cart apart to try and find something metal to attach it to but not finding much.

Has anyone managed to get seat belts on there precedent yet, would really appricate some help with this.

Thank you

Stuart

I put seat belts in our 05 precedent, and I can email pics to you or post pics here. I added a rear seat to mine, and all the steel I added attaches to the rear seat parts. I posted on this site with a few pics, ya might want to do a search for that post.

Your right, all the precedent parts are plastic or some sort of fiber. But there a lot of attaching points, so maybe, just maybe, the load would be spread out among those points and the belts would help.

I figured they are better than nothing, it makes the state AND my lovely bride happy!

Let me know about the pictures. Dave

Thank you for the reply carguy, I did take a look at your photos but I couldn't quite see how it worked, if you could post or email me some photos I would really appricate it stuart at floridaideal.com , thank you.

I would really like to add seat belts and keep the original plastic housing if I can, did you manage to do this, think the photos I saw didn't have any black plastic housing?

Thank you for replying

Stuart

I got 9 pics, don't know if its OK to post that many here or not?

I tried floridaideal.com and it says site is under construction & couldn't send any pics.

As I said, I have a rear seat installed and all the steel I used is attached to the rear seat steel.

Hi Dave

Thank you, sent you a PM, I am sure no one would mind if you posted your pictures here!

I have another idea I might try and see if it works and if it does I will post on the forum and let everyone know, speaking to a couple of companies today if I add an extra seat on the back of the cart it will work fine but I really didn't want to add extra seats right now...I quite like the stock look..at the back anyway!

Has anyone found any "off-the-shelf" solutions for seatbelts on the 2007 Club Car Precedent? If so, it sure isn't clear to me. I don't want to break down the entire back end of the cart to do and don't want to machine my own bracket?
Anyone?

I used the madjax seat belt bracket, went on in no time, was easy to install and the best part, you can install belts for the front and rear seats. (my precedent does NOT have the stock rear canopy struts)

You can use it with the stock rear supports and basket
