g9 headlight ????
Has anyone ever installed these headlights for a G2 or G9 with the side marker or running lamp in it?? If so how do you make running lights work??? I dont have the harnesses or wiring diagram.. I know how to wire headlights and make them work.but not running lights... Please help me...its driving me CRAZY!!!

side marker/ running lamp only has 1 wire coming out of it..dont you need pos. and neg.??I can also see a bulb in marker!! thanks

We have similar lights and the amber light works with the headlights, operated by a single pole switch.

splice the black wire into your (red) wire on the headlight harness, run a ground wire to the threaded stud sticking off the back of marker light and you should be good to go, will come on/off with your headlights.

YES IT WORKED.. I was pretty sure you needed a neg. and a pos... they just used mounting bolt as ground!!!! geez im retarded!! thanx again

NP, they prob assumed you would be mounting those marker lights somewhere in metal,by drilling a 1/4" hole in sheet metal somewhere, in that case you would not have needed the ground wire, it would have grounded thru the body metal.

just remember you must ground to the frame on any yamaha cart. no frame grounds. it will blow the main fuse.

you can or can not ground to frame???? I ran a positive and negative lead from battery to dash, then connected everything to those leads.. I tried grounding to frame and couldn't get a good ground!!???????

Can not. It will blow the fuse ground to the battery only like you did.
