Default Yamaha AC conversion?

Hey I was just curious if any of you have seen, tried, or heard of an AC conversion kit for G19s or G22s. I just took a ride in a CC Precedent that had been converted and I was really impressed. Unbelievable performance all the way through. It hit 25 mph going up a fairly steep hill without skipping a beat. However, the more I surround myself with these carts, the more I'm drawn to the Yamaha side of the house...there must be something wrong with me.

I would on a project cart. I've driven a handful of carts that had great DC upgrades. Whether they were rewound or full controller and motor upgrades, nothing has come close to how smooth and powerful that AC system performed. Not to mention, it was governed. The computer was stopping me at 30 on the flat. Like anything else however, as the technology gains popularity, the price will drop. I'd kinda' like to be in the position to know first hand as much as possible about these systems when it happens. Right now I compare it to using a PC or an Apple. Everyone knows the Apple is more expensive and unfamiliar. That's what turns most away. Talk to Apple owners however and most like myself will tell you that they will never go back to the old system. The extra money and learning curve was well worth it. Maybe you already have driven an AC system..if not, I highly recommend it. I think you'll be impressed.

Well let's see. I have a 48-volt ~ 96-volt ~ 108-volt AC system. I have nothing bad to say about the AC system. If you can spend the money for AC. You want regret it...

I have a half dozen Chinese knock offs of the Club Car Precedent in stock right now all running the AC motor, I have personally done AC conversions on E-Z-GO and Club Cars, but I have never even heard of a conversion for the Yamaha brand (which is weird since they run a 19 spline input gear just like the E-Z-GO does).

I have to agree, if you can afford the $$, it is the best system out there.

GarageBuilt, do you have a preferred brand on a kit? It sounds like you've spent some time playing with these systems. I talked with a rep from Fore Par and I'm waiting for someone from High Performance to call me back. A friend turned me on to High Performance-said they were doing some really good things with AC. I'd appreciate any recommendations you would have.

Call High Performance golf cars. Ask to speak to Bill Richey. He knows me. Buy from him.
