Default Re: Best price on a new Yamaha Drive 2??

I scoured the interwebs and couldn't find a Drive2 (new or used) from a dealer within 6 hours from me for less than 7800 out the door (Gas, EFI), and finally found a used 2017 with 23 hours that I was able to get from a private sale for $6400. It was stock except that it had a windshield and GTW rear seat kit, with no lift.

I've ordered a TON of stuff: Jake's 6" lift, 14" wheels w/23" A/T tires, RHOX brush guard, gorilla mat, step bars, fender flares, dash kit (dash doors), rear grab bar, receiver hitch, HD rear springs, Aviator steering wheel, Jake's metal skid plate, and a couple of other things that I'm sure I'm missing, although they'd be the smaller things.

I am about 2K out the door on all the accessories, and I'll do the install myself tomorrow, as soon as everything finishes getting here. Everything was free shipping, and out of state, so no taxes. So, I'm at $8400 out the door, with it fully done.

That may seem like a lot, but our local Yamaha dealer wanted 11,400 out the door, and that didn't include the brush bar, trailer hitch, steering wheel, and a couple of other things. Yes, that seems high, but nobody else was close to where I am.

If you're looking, keep at it, and be ready to buy when the right deal comes along.

Can you share which dealer that was? I am looking for one and the prices around here are steep, best price so far is $8495 plus tax.

I wish Jake's would come out with a long travel lift kit for the gas / EFI Drive 2. That's the only thing keeping me from buying one.

I keep kicking myself for not driving to South Carolina to buy the Lithium frame-ff restoration that a guy did on here to an older Yamaha a few years ago. His username had something to do with a Cadillac......
