Re: Volt meter reading vs Alltrax monitor reading

The charts are based on the average voltages of several tests of well broken in batteries. New batteries will read a bit higher, old batteries will read a bit lower. For Trojan brand, 38.2V is 100% SoC. For US Battery brand, 38.5V is 100% SoC. Other brands may fall between those two, but there are a lot of Trojan clones out there. |

Unless it is has a charging profile for US Battery, your batteries have been chronically undercharged, shortening their lifespan. Fortunately, you can recover some the the loss with proper charging. |

Re: Volt meter reading vs Alltrax monitor reading
Ok, well, i take it there's no way to get it to charge to a higher level? It's not worth buying a different charger, as I'm currently in the process of acquiring lithium cells to build a battery, but my main question is when your batteries are nearing the end of their usable life what voltmeter readings confirm they're getting bad. Will they not get to as high a voltage initially, or not hold charge as long, or what should i be monitoring. I'm just wondering if i can make it another season while building my lithium pack

Re: Volt meter reading vs Alltrax monitor reading
Try some back-to-back charging.
That is initiating a new charge on already charged batteries. Also, what is the pack voltage when charger shuts off? If it is 45V or more, you might get some more life out of the batteries. |
