Default battery help

hey guys , new to group...i bought a golf cart few weeks ago and its running real slow... couple things....
i check them with volt meter,,,most read 6.3v and 1 bounced around from 5.5 to 6.2....weird...lol...

liquid is coming out the tops of most of them...and 2 made a bubbling sound when plugged in....
i did check them while all connected , should i disconnect them to check??

thanks in advanced...

How old are the batteries? Did you overfill them with water? No you don't need to unhook anything when checking voltages.

Before you don anything else.....read this post on electric cart batteries: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...e-posting.html

It may answer some of your questions and at least give you some education on care and maintenance.
