Re: XCT Alltrax500 controller and the ______ motor?
I'm always wonder when somebody pays extra for a speed controller with a ton of speed and regen control features and then selects a motor with no speed control or regen control if they know -
that when you have a modern controller & motor with regen you can turn it off and coast or slid it to a stop on while driving with your dash controls... Just saying for anybody reading this - not necessarily you |

Re: XCT Alltrax500 controller and the ______ motor?
I always wondered if the PQ comment about "all regen brake removed" is just an inevitable (undesirable) side effect of using a motor with a speed magnet on a stock non user adjustable like controller.
If the reason not to use regen brake is due to possible detrimental effects to the motor, it should be properly noted. I think Regen brake, when properly implemented, is a great way to stop the cart. |

Re: XCT Alltrax500 controller and the ______ motor?
That's what I was told. BUT... I still have regen braking. Don't know why, but I do. Another BGW member said they had regen too with their Executioner.
I installed the FNKS with my Alltrax and have it programmed for 3 different modes: 1. 14 mph with lots of regen braking 2. 23 mph with medium regen 3. Max speed with no regen And the regen works as programmed and can be additionally adjusted with the regen knob. |

Re: XCT Alltrax500 controller and the ______ motor?
The FN2 gives excellent regen control without compromising speed. It's fun to play with if you like sliding into a turn

Re: XCT Alltrax500 controller and the ______ motor?
Hard to say exactly on this one as I went with a Lithium pack at the same time, but on my other carts it is probably a conservative 20%. A definite "feelable" difference....
