Default Towing a gas ezgo

Is the engine supposed too turn over when towing or moving a gas 2 stroke EZGO golf cart ? If not, what is the adjustment to have it tow freely ?

The only way to make it free wheel is to remove the drive belt. No the engine shouldn't turn over while towing. There should be enough slack in the belt to prevent the engine from turning over.

Is there a adjustment to make some additional slack in the belt? My cart, 1990 model, with 2 stroke engine has too little slack. Thank you for answering.

I don’t believe there’s an adjustment... You’ll need to find a belt that’s a bit longer... it usually isn’t too big a deal to pop the belt off if you’re not having to tow it too often

There is no adjustment for slack. Rolling the belt off is an option if you need it to free wheel. The belt may have been replaced at some point with a shorter belt for more torque which would make it harder to push but that is a different topic.

I also don't think that you'll find the adjustment.
