TXT vs RXV for off-road work cart
Long time listener, first time caller here. I need a cart to use on some land we have, mostly hauling light loads and for just tooling around the place for fun. Most trails are pretty flat but overall I would say it has rolling terrain with moderate elevation changes and zero pavement. I‘m pretty sold on electric and I doubt it would ever see more than 3-4 miles in any given day. Definitely thinking a lift with 22” tires and a cargo box/seat on the back as well.
I was originally leaning towards a 2-3 year old TXT with thoughts of eventually upgrading the motor/controller but then I started reading here about the RXV and it seems that may be a better route performance-wise although at a steeper price. I’m a hot rodder who’s made a career in tech so customizations don’t scare me, and I can see wanting to tinker with all kinds of mods just for kicks. My budget to start is about 6 or 7k but I’m willing to spend a little more if it means a meaningfully better experience. So with all that in mind, do you think I would be better off with a TXT or would the RXV be better a better platform to go with? Or maybe something else entirely? |
