Default EZGO 48v controller upgrade

Looking to upgrade my 99 txt to 48v since I need new batteries. I have a Curtis 1206HB-5201 48v controller but it has the inputs for a speed sensor which my cart motor does not have, is there anyway to use this controller without the speed sensor? Thanks for any info.

well that controller is a STOCK controller for a 2010 and up 48v TXT and only supplies 250 amps....IF you are wanting to upgrade your current series 99 TXT to 48v....what you should be looking for is an ALLTRAX SR controller in either a 400 amp or 500 amp.

A '99 might be a DCS (Sepex without a speed sensor) rather than a series drive and would need a XCT rather than a SR.

Does the controller cover have a run/tow switch?

The DCS motor doesn't have a speed sensor and the 1206HB won't run without a speed sensor.
