Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
Your cart is a PDS. All you need is a 400 amp Alltrax and 4 gauge cables. The 2 speed business is for the series carts. You won't ever need to change your motor IMO...

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
Good. I'll save the rest of the coins for the controller then. Thanks for the advice, Mike.

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
I have a 2005 pds cart with a 400a alltrax controller, new batteries, 22in tires and a cargo bed. It makes more than enough power and speed for my uses. Much better than the stock controller which I ran breifly after lifting the cart.

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
I hear that, DVR. I'm having to run the stock for a little while anyway. I'll upgrade before the end of January, hopefully. If not, I'll just take it easy like I'm doing now so I don't fry the controller. It does great on small hills and the dirt and gravel roads I'm running now. I'm certainly not looking to pop wheelies, but I would like to know there's not a golf course around that I couldn't make it to every hole due to lack of power.
Thanks again, guys! If anyone wants to send me a pm with their best price, including shipping to 39047, that might make me want one even sooner. I've seen some reasonable priced 400 amp programmable controllers and some that made me look at the ridiculous price and shake my head. |

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
Randy, are you going to stay 36 or go 48 volts?

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
I'm going to be staying with the 36v. If I just have to go 48, I'll likely sale what I have and move up. I'm satisfied with this for now. (well, after the upgraded controller)

Re: Convertable Freedom Chip
Yes - All newer EZGO use the ITS throttle, 1995 and up.
