Re: golf cart isnt getting gas to the carb
Pull the feed line from the carb and mash the acc. A sufficient amount of fuel should begin to pulse from the hose as blow by from the engine pumps it out of the tank. If you get fuel supply from the hose here you need to pull the carb and check to see if the needle is stuck in the seat. This will prevent any fuel from filling the bowl. If you dont have fuel coming out you need to pull your blow by hose from the pump and check to see if it is pushing air out if it. If this is good check the feed line from the tank. Also pull the threaded tank straw out and make sure it isn't broken up high or blocked. If all this goes well you must have a problem with the diaphram in the pump. Oh yeah, check to see if the tank cap is breathing properly. If it can't vent a condition called vapor lock will occur and it will stop fuel movemnt. It seem also that i have seen a post about the fuel lines being excessively long too, so make sure you trim any excess that isn't necessary.

Re: golf cart isnt getting gas to the carb
alright this cart is starting to make me mad i just bought a new carb cause the other carbs bowl wasnt sealing. lately i got a new fuel pump to. if i squirt gas in the fuel line the cart will run just fine but its not sucking gas so i took of the fuel filter and put my finger on the line and i could not feel any suction.
do u think it could be my valves? are they adjusted wrong? |
