Default 03 PDS Trouble shooting Question

I am working on my neighbors 2003 PDS and feel that I have the problem isolated to the wire that comes out of the end of the motor. All other diagnostics check out in accordanace with the Ezgo Diagnostics charts. Including the one beep in the self diagnostics mode indicating a motor problem. So here is what I have: The solenoid checks good and clicks with pedal depressed however cart does not move. When I wiggle or move the wire that enters the end of the motor I then have power to the wheels. I am not a PDS expert so what are fixes for this issue?? Thanks in advance.

One other symptom that exists it that when pedal is depressed power to the wheels is confirmed it will stop and beep once. This is an intermitent issue which is leading me back to the F/R switch however it is intermitent.

Update: Cart is running fine however the single beep diagnostic code still exists. Where are the PDS experts???? Can a new speed sensor be ordered if so what is the Ez-Go part number?
