Default Front brakes for my 1988 ?

Does anyone know of any front brake kits for my old 1988 ezgo ? I have done a quick search and don't seem to have any for my set up. A Jakes kit might work, but I don't have a Jakes lift kit, just a simple 5 inch lift kit on. Any suggestions or links would be great.

Just got off the phone with Jakes, and no kit exist from them for the Marathon...front or back.

It's more work than you'll probably like but you COULD graft a newer TXT or ST350 drop axle front end on the Marathon chassis. You'll have to figure out how to cut the longer front springs down about 3" IIRC. And then figure out how to drill the spring steel for the rear bolts. I'll tell you now without the right tools it's darn near impossible. Get it done tho and you should be able to add front brakes.

I think WalkinTall did that to an old Marathon a few years ago. I'm pretty sure he wrote it up on another forum.

How about using the rear disc brake kit, not the same but it may meet your needs.

According to Jake's there is no rear one's for marathon, at least that is what I was told. I would upgrade if I could. but may just buy my co-workers cart and sell mine later.
thanks

I thought they would fit the Marathon carts but I could be wrong.
These are from AmeriTorque not Jake's but if Jakes said these specific ones won't work, I'd believe them before me.
The AmeriTorque brochure is here: http://www.auscoproducts.com/pdfs/am...e_brochure.pdf
The AmeriTorque installation instructions are here: http://www.auscoproducts.com/pdfs/Am...structions.pdf
