Default Overfilled Batteries?

I recently got US 2200 batteries with my cart. In efforts to keep up with regular maintanance of the batteries I bought a filling bottle. After about of week of use I checked the water level last night. I could not clearly see the proper level to fill based on what I have read on this site. I used my new bottle thinking it would fill the batteries only to the correct level. I was wrong, it filled on cell all the way and I ended up removing some of the water from that cell. How can I tell if I have filled the rest of the cell with to much water and what is the best way to remove it if I have?

I have no experience with the fill bottles although I have meant to get one. I usually just look with a flash light but that can get tricky too. My US Batts actually didn't start getting low until several months after break-in/use. If you don't have one already I would suggest getting a specific gravity tester. They are cheap and handy to have with an electric cart anyway. You can suck what you need out and dispose of properly, or add to a low cell elsewhere. Your local parts store should have one of some kind.

Something like this: http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/QUI...E-Tester-5NEF9

I bought one of those black plastic cell fillers. It's worthless and difficult to use. My preferred method is a 3 gallon jug of distilled water with a rubber valve and a small MagLite.

I didn't have any luck with a battery fill bottle either. I get distilled water in gallon jugs, a flashlight and what is effectively a turkey baster.
