I think I agree with what you are saying. There is a "sticky" at the top of the "ezgo electric" forum that should have your diagram for your wiring. I would print that off(for your cart) and check everything to see if it the same. One or two small wires in the wrong place can cost you much more money then your time checking. But if it has a toggle for power you may be in a mess.....but also may be just bypassing a simple part you need to make it right....

Nice man. I just obtained a 1995 Marathon Freedom.....wired in series. I am new at this as well, but am basically doing a 'frame-off' resto! LOL

It's going to be cool when I'm done. I will start a thread and post some pics. Looks like we are in the same boat.

First, click the link that RIB gave and determine year make and model. Then a couple overall pics of the cart would be good. One thing in its favor is that it is a controller cart and not a resistor, so you are starting ahead of the game.
