88 EZGO won't start and squeals
Hi guys. As you know I blew the motor in my 88 EZGO cart a few weeks ago. It had a 244 Robin in it. A guy gave me another 244 Robin to put in that has been bored out (don't know to what). Had to change everything over to get it hooked up. Had to use my existing carb, exhaust pipe, starter, clutch and I think that sums it up. It turns over very well, seems to be getting fuel, new plug, gas and oil mix. But, it squeals while it is turning over. Is it too tight for some reason?? I don't know what it could be. Please help. I need it running by Wednesday for my big PARTY!!!

check the tension on your starter belt is my guess.

Tension is good. Was told that it sounds like my head gasket is leaking. What should those bolts on the head be torqued at??

torque should be 17-18 ft. lbs in a criss cross pattern.

A compression test will reveal head gasket leaks.Should run around 100-140.
