RXV - How can you push it when batteries are dead?
2009 rxv. New motor brake ( no lever).
Can someone explain how you can push / tow one of these, when the batteries are dead? Is there some sort of reserved powerde stored, so you rewire something?// |

Re: RXV - How can you push it when batteries are dead?
Models originally equipped without "handle-style" brake have a unlock procedure listed on bottom of controller cover, or try Tow/run switch in tow, then key in neutral. If the batteries are too dead, removing the brake is pretty much the only option. Stay only on flat terrain, you have zero stopping power other than "fred flintstone power"... I built my own unlocker tool with a 12v SLA battery, and a little boost convertor to supply power (some others have used drill batteries). It still has limitations with the nature of the brake's only locked or unlocked, no "in between or slow down" setting.

CG. can you pm me and explain or show I can put together one of these
unlocking "tools"? I understand the flintstone sitch, thanks for that. Once I replace the original levr type brake , with the new style, then how can I push an rxv, with completely dead batts? |
