Re: 2001 PDS goes backwards in F or R

Any DCX or NCX will up the speed into the low/mid 20's. The trick is that the stock PDS controller limits the motor RPM to about 4400 (about 19MPH on 18" tires) and the DCX family of controllers allow the motor to rev to the max for the applied voltage, which is roughly 5600RPM or about 24MPH on 18" tires. A DCX400 with matching solenoid and adequate cables, with a stock PDS motor is a wicked combination. About 33% more low end torque in addition to the increased top end speed. |

Re: 2001 PDS goes backwards in F or R
Adequate is thick enough the carry the amps without warming very much, whose lug terminals are the closed end type and are installed in a way that impedes corrosion of the cable's stranded copper conductor. The cables Scotty builds meet those criteria.
My "baby girl" is 47, but I share the sentiment. |

If you arent familiar, you gotta watch "The atomic bomb movie", narrated by William Shatner. The best history of the US nuke program i know of (glad i wasnt on those boats, salute to those who were). Or go around the country and see some of the spots yourself. Titan missle museum is near me, and a awesome sight. Thanks to all who served, and serve today.
