Thumbs down my cart quits going up hill

we have had a problem with this cart for a long time. have had it in for repairs several times. last repair made it worse. something in the brain box? cart charges and the charger is one we use on another ez go that runs fine. our land is very hilly, when someone has it in for repairs they can't find a problem on their flat land. It will run fine for awhile, but when we run slowly, which is most of the time. we ride our land to enjoy it not to see how fast we can get around. anyway after awhile we will be going up hill and it will simple quit. we shut it off for a minute and them turn it back on and it would continue uphill until it quits again. any ideas out there? and no can't afford a new one we are retired. thank yu

This is not an uncommon complaint. The components in the cart are designed for moderate terrain. The increased work load of hilly terrain AND the slow operation cause the motor to work harder calling for additional amperage which overheats the speed control and causes it to go into thermal cut back (or shut down) until it cools to a safe temperature.
The fix is to upgrade the amperage delivery system. This system includes the following components:
speed control, solenoid, F&R switch, and high amperage cables.
Can you identify which drive system your cart has? See chart below:

Also, what is the tire height?

Most stock drive systems, either Series or SepEx, is designed for 18" tires and a combination of taller tires, driving slow and climbing hills is almost guaranteed to put a stock controller into thermal overload.
