Default wieing question(ground)

i have a EZ-GO TXT series cart and my question relates to installing my lights...i am using LED lights that are 12-36 volt capable

i want to know if i run a ground from the - terminal on the battery to the frame will that create a problem for the controller ect...

i dont want to break something and i am a wiring idiot...

YES it will.....you NEVER use the frame as a ground.

where are you powering the lights from? are you using a DC to DC converter? if so, it will have both a + and a - coming out of it.....if its the only thing that the lights are powering, connect the ground wire directly to it....if not, get yourself a fuse block and wire it that way.

i am coming strait off the batterys-these are dc lights and i have a inline fuse...thanks for your quick reply sir nuke!

Then wire them TO the - of the pack.....and since your lights are 12 - 36v....you can pretty much wire them to any - post you want. That is if your cart is a 36v cart.
