600 amp controller looking for motor
Hey All!
I just upgraded my controller to a600 amp madjax torque controller & #4 gauge cables! Its in an 08 Precedent iq I absolutely love it! Speeds are about 22 with extreme torque. I know a lot of you guys got experience with motor upgrades. Just wondering what I can expect with a motor upgrade. I currently got a 3.3hp stock motor. Any recomendations are welcome! Looking to keep that extreme torque but a little more speed would be good too😀 Thanks everyone! |

Re: 600 amp controller looking for motor
I have an 08 Club Car and I have been thinking about doing the Madjax Torque also, are you on the 12 volt system? and did you just change the battery cables? did you do all of them or just the ones on top of the batteries? In the town I live in theres a good amount of hills that really bog it down, do you think the madjax is a good controller to fix this? and did you do the on the fly programmer also?

Re: 600 amp controller looking for motor
I did change out all my battery cables and the cables to the motor to #4 gauge
I had my cousin on the cart with me & he is about 230 pounds and we still were able to climb pretty steep hills without bogging down. Yes, the On the Fly programmer is a (MUST). Its nice to turn speed, acceleration & regen up or down out in the field without a computer Im running 4 12v batteries and I purchased my cables through Cartsinlimited.com Scotty B is a great guy and has got a cable set with fool proof instructions on how to change them. |

Re: 600 amp controller looking for motor
I am looking for suggestions also. I have the 600 amp setup and I really like it also. (On the fly programmer is awsome) Just want to see what it will do with a motor upgrade.
