Default Re: best battery brands

There aren't as many battery manufacturers as it seems. Many are private labeled by major manufacturers. I formerly worked at an industrial battery company that sold East Penn/Deka and primarily dealt with electric forklift batteries. When we needed automotive type batteries, we were supplied by our automotive counterpart. Many times when I went to their warehouse for pick up, I would see a rack with many different roles of decals they put on non marked batteries. I remember seeing decal roles of Duracell, Bass Pro Shops, and others.

Also for some brands such as Duracell, manufacturing routinely is bidded out among multiple manufacturers. While East Penn/Deka may make this battery for a while, it may be interstate or something else a year from then. Similar to how Walmart or other major retailers bid out manufacturing for their store brands to different manufacturers on a routine basis. Packaging may appear the same but the manufacturer changes.
