Default 36v motor to a 48v cart?

I have 48 v DS, series
Just bought a 36 v , A8501, resistor cart
A1 batts, US batts, no charger
Pack 8.5v, individual avg 1.4v

Plan is to install the 36v motor in my 48 v

Is this ok,?
I have read it should improve my performance

May make the 85 DS a project cart
Frame looks good
Needs some TLC, new top
Upholstery for seat.....
Use 48 v motor
Go 48v controller, F/R, tires......

Putting the 36 v motor in the the 48 v cart will increase the speed by quite a bit, assuming your 48v cart is a series cart.

Looks like it's in good condition! Are you up for a build thread?

You will see about a 25%-30% increase where everything is up to par...
