Cool Re: club car caroche just quit

Well, I finally got her running again. Turns out, had to take the motor out, take it apart and found a burnt terminal. What a pain!!! Fixed that and hooked her back up. It runs! I am still having an issue when I depress the pedal and engage all solenoids, it stops pulling. Also, the heat coil on it is getting red hot but only on one side of it. I put a new solenoid on the farthest side from the main, I think it's not the working properly, I checked for continuity between the two small leads on it and there was none. There is on all the other ones! Got any suggestions or words of wisdom???

I will be asking questions because if I remember correctly this sounds strange and I want to narrow down the possible problems. You said "When I depress the pedal and engage all solenoids it stops pulling" You are saying when at full speed ( pedal all the way down ) the motor stops and will not turn? The farthest solenoid from the main ( #5 ) on passenger side should be top speed which gives full power to motor. Which coil gets red hot ( from drivers side numbers 1-2-3 ) When all 5 solenoids cycled in and are working correctly the resistors are out of circuit after #5 solenoid cuts in so it must not be feeding power to motor? So your tests sound correct and #5 must not be making contact ( even though it may have clicking sound ) and must be either wired incorrectly or bad connection, or internally defective? I'm sorry as I am having to recall from an old data base ( MY MIND ) how the Caroche carts were wired and so I must say "IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY"
