A question of speed
Is there anything not too expensive that can be done to get me a few more MPHs on the '05 48V IQ DS I have? There are some 36V E-Z-Gos in the neighborhood with 400 amp controllers that are blowing me away...and they're laughing while they do it. Can't let them laugh at Club Car.
I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, but I wouldn't mind have a few more MPHs. Right now, I'm in the 18-20 range but would like to get in the 23-25 MPH range....again, if there's something that can be done that doesn't a ton of money. My dealer quoted $485 for a new motor to get me to about 25 MPH, but I'm wondering if there's a place to buy good, used or refurbed motors for about half that. Or if there's anything else to do. |

Re: A question of speed
Plum Quick Motors. Call them, tell them your set up, and what you are looking to accomplish. They will give you an honest opinion and tell you how to get there. They have a website and a forum on it. Check it out, its very helpful.
Calling them is the best way to find out the specifics for your set up. Hope this helps! |

Muffler is right give plumquick a call I have one of there bandit motors in my 03 club car, and I am in the the 23mph range and haven't changed anything else. Was a sweet deal for $225. They are really upstanding people to work with.

Re: A question of speed
Fortunately for me I don't have any competition at this time, so feel free to come over and run against me if it makes you feel better. But I see a Plum Quick motor in my near future. Then I can run down the street and not impede traffic as bad as I do now with my eye-watering 14 MPH.
