Need advice on Precedent purchase
I am considering a 2006 model with new T-105 batteries or a 2007 model with original batteries that test to 85 minutes. What does the "85 minutes" test result mean?
Are there known problems with these model years that I should know about? Thanks in advance for your answers. Gene |

Re: Need advice on Precedent purchase
I'm lovin my 2006 so far. I've heard there were issues with the 12v batteries in the 2006 models and CC replaced the batts in 2008. Mine has the 08 batteries in it. Not sure if I can help with the 85 minute test - new one on me but will be interested in the answer.

The 12volt battery setup is fine and I think the 85 minute rundown is good. They base these things on golf course run-time not 2 laps around the neighborhood.

I'd investigate that car with the T-105's.... The T-105s are 6-Volt batteries... A Precedent shouldn't have those.

Re: Need advice on Precedent purchase
Just so you know, 60 minutes is concidered MINIMUM for a set of batteries on a discharge machine, which is what they are telling you. A round of golf is concidered 36 minutes of run time.

Re: Need advice on Precedent purchase
True, however a brand new set of 12 Volt batteries won't run over 90-95. So 85 is still in pretty awesome shape.

Re: Need advice on Precedent purchase
I have decided to go with the 2007 with original batteries. The net difference in the 2 carts would only be $100 IF I have to purchase new batteries right away.
I must have not been listening very well when I thought I heard T105 batteries. I was wrong about that.I was assured that the 2006 cart has the correct Trojans in it. Thanks for those who took the time to respond and help out! Gene |
