Can y'all take a look at this? This is what I was talking about with the charger.

Okay .......... it's a DPI charger with a 36v switch.
Now you have 36v of batteries in a 48v cart and a way to charge the batteries
But, you have a 48v motor which is performing poorly on the lower voltage, no?
Seems to me you need to change the batteries or the motor now?
A 36v motor will perform well on 48v but I think you already know the 48v motor performs very poorly on 36 volts.... no?

Yes exactly, I will add another 12 volts to it, but the model dpi charger I have does not have "switch" it has to be done internally somehow. I work with the guy who I got it from, and someone else modifies the charger to be on "mode 4". We will try and get with him on how to do it.
I still cannot get my solenoid to activate though. Can't figure out why.

Maybe because you are trying to activate a 48v solenoid with 36v?

It is not recommended to mix battery types in a pack.

The car was working initially with the 36v. I only intend on putting the 12v for quick testing. I intend on getting the right batteries if I can get it working.
