After Jan 1 I will be bringing it home from the lake to start more upgrades before the weather get warm. The motor sounds great and ran fair but it didnt even empress my wife on the maiden voyage. Just trying to see what I can check while i am at the lake for 5 days. Thanks for all the great imput and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

If you cart used to do around 14/15 with a stock motor then you must be on Code 3. If that is the case then the motor you put in must have an issue... or you had a drag issue holding your cart back. If you can move it by hand forward and back then the drag issue should not be the case. Your speed with a PQ purple motor should be no less then 22 mph with 18" tires. Mine has 22" tires and has no problem hitting 24 mph in a head wind with the windshield up. Calm days are normally 26 mph. Forget the upgrades until you take care of your biggest problem... your motor that you purchased privately.

purchased privately. New way to say (USED) yes I always repair one problem before creating another. Good thing there is a market for (used things) or this world would be filled with Junk.
