Is this safe to say?

Replace MS 2
Replace reed switch in charger receptacle?
Replace MS 3

Does one MS have priority? I'm assuming MS2?

Hope like heck that works.

What Johnnie is saying is that all the MS switches are daisy chained together. power comes from the battery to the F&R MS and FROM there to the key to the MS in the peddle box. So if you had no power at the F&R MS you darn sure won't have it at the peddle box but >>>>>>>>>>>> your description of the peddle box MS having no spring action in the trigger lever is indicative of a blown MS.... so my best guess based on your input is all the MS are bad? You have the meter test them all for continuity when operating...do they on/off or not?

Buggy MSs are pretty reliable. With a 2006, I'd be surprised if ALL of them were bad. The one in the pedal box probably has the hardest life, as it's activated every time you hit the gas from a stop. It also is in a position that moisture could enter and play a role.

Ok.

MS2 & MS4 passed continuity testing.

MS 3 did not.

All black wires off the f/r have pack voltage.

So it seems like I need a new MS 3 and reed switch(see post#5)?

Sound right?

Thanks

I would bypass the Reed switch as indicated. Ezgo did away with it in the newer models.

This advice/help is great. Still having issues.

Reverse beeper now works, the 60amp fuse on the white wire out of the receptacle was replaced.

Replaced the pedal box MS, but it seems to have burnt out again? I am gettingn pack voltage athe green wire in the pedal box now also.

I went ahead and replaced the reed switch, but that popped when i turned the key on.
I went back to no reed switch and have pack voltage at the f/r switch and MS 2 and MS 4 are working.

I had a new problem pop up, the small diode on the front of the solenoid smokes?

Still nothing happens when the pedal is pressed.

What should I check ? Could the key switch cause any issues?

I think you found your problem! The diode may have shorted out, Remove it for testing purposes. I'm afraid you are going to have to replace the MSs again and the diode. but don't put the new diode on until you get the cart to run. Then put it on...... don't forget.

You can test without it but don't run without it. It has an important function. But if it was to fail open it could create the short that fried all those MSs and the reed switch. It rare but stranger things have happened.... Like all the people could vote for one man to be president and then congress could appoint somebody else and make it stick.
