2001 EZ Go TXT pre/post 1/9/01 how to tell

I recently bought an EZ Go electric TXT cart because I thought it would be a fun rebuild project.

After reading a thread by JonnieB, I entered my serial number in the EZ Go website and discovered my TXT is a 2001.

Now I am reading there are two different 2001 versions. One a DCS and the other something else.

Can someone explain the difference so I can start researching the right parts?

Apparently mine is a series. Does this tell me if it is the early 01 or later 01 model? If it helps, there are three bolts at the base of the steering column. (I saw the question in a post, but there was no reply).

The early-01' has a steering-box mounted on the foot-wall,the late-01' has an axle-mounted Rack & Pinion mounted on the axle.Hope this helps.
