Default G16 Secondary Clutch

Should there be a gap between the sheeve and helix, or is this a sign that the secondary clutch is worn out?

The sliding sheave doesn't look right. This is what all new parts look like.

The sliders are worn out, and it appears the the sheave is not closing all the way,
See the space down in the clutch. May be some crud or a weak spring?

Ok, thanks - I'll check it out tonight. It seems to drive fine, I just noticed it when I was charging the battery to put it away for the Winter. This cart does a lot of Jr Dragster towing....

Yes your sliders are worn but the space your asking about IS normal. Once you accelerate they will close together. Accelerate hard then slow to a stop and look. They should be touching again.

Wrong, not with a stock clutch spring properly installed.
