I put those same shocks on my 79 marathon gasser with a 5" lift and they work fine for me.

Re: Shock Cross reference
Shocks came in today, hopefully be able to get them on tomorrow. I'll report back my thoughts on them , which will probably be positive as one rear is stuck collapsed and the other is blown out......
For archive purposes : Here's the response I got from ezgo. Unfortunately, those part numbers are no longer available. You may be able to look after market. I have provided you with a name and number to a dealer who specializes in older vehicles. Mr. Golf Car- Brent Xxx-xxx-xxx I removed the guys number as I don't know if he wants it advertised.... |

Re: Shock Cross reference
Replaced shocks... Definitely a big difference in the rear, both now work.... Front didn't seem bad either, will report back more on them as I took it for a short drive last night after changing them..

Re: Shock Cross reference
After some thought on the rear shocks , I'm back to square one. I don't like the fact that the extended length of the shock can let it open more than the distance of coil spring and perches... These might work great for a leaf spring cart but I'm not comfortable with them on a coil spring...

Re: Shock Cross reference
I've had them on Marathon 444's, 804's, etc for years (and believe me, my carts take a LOT of abuse) and never had an issue - it's a golf cart. Keep it under 100 and try to restrict the airborne moves to say 6ft vertical or less, LOL and they'll be fine.
