Default G14 Brake Rod Installation - Need Pictures

Does anyone have (or can anyone please take) photos of the brake pedal rod connection points? I removed my pedals to paint them and took what I thought were comprehensive photos, but I missed one critical one: how to attach the bottom of the brake rod (photo below of part diagram from Yamaha):

Another photo, but only showing the top of the attachment point is below. My mistake was forgetting to photograph where it attaches on the bottom of the rod.

Frankly, I took the cart for a spin around the neighborhood this evening, and I didn't notice any odd functionality with the brakes - they seemed to work as normal, so I'm not even sure what the rod is intended to do. I'd still like to put it back, since surely they designed it for a reason.

Thanks,
Beems

Thank you, that helped tremendously. As it turns out, if you don't have it on, the parking brake doesn't work as intended, as merely pushing the brake pedal hard enough could lock the brake. The rod lifts the locking mechanism out of the way unless the small, top portion of the pedal is pushed (which forces the locking mechanism down rather than forward.

Again, thank you.
