Yamaha g9 primary clutch bolt size
I bought a used cart, 1995 Yamaha g9. The primary clutch was taken off and sitting on the seat. Owner told me clutch was bad. I found a replacement clutch. On inspection the clutch bolt and the threads in the crankshaft look a little bugered up. Before I run in the bolt On the new clutch I really want to run in a tap and clean up the bolt. Problem is I cannot find anything on the Internet about what thread size tap and die I need. I spent all day calling dealers all over the country and no one could help. Does anyone know the thread size I need. PLEASE!!

I did order a new bolt but would still like to run a tap in the crank just to be safe

A good machine shop should be able to tell you; head to the older guy there...

If it helps, the threads on my puller bolt are 1.0. I don't have a tap or die that big.

M14-1.25 good luck finding one I was going to make my own puller searched every bolt place I could think of and no one had a bolt that size with the 1.25 pitch

Wait a minute, are we talking about the puller threads, or the crank threads. They are 2 different things & sizes.
