Default G22 Fuel pump help!

So I got this fuel pump to install on my G22 and look at the arrows. It is opposite the pump on the cart now in terms if in and out. Which means if i install it with the in arrow facing the fuel tank the pulse line to the crankcase will be facing up. Anybody have experience or thoughts on this?
Seems odd and I'm wondering what to do.

Is it OEM or did you buy it on eBay or so?

I am not really surprised; at around 50$, I would have bought an original one...

By the way, you can always test it both ways, nothing can hurt; just no petrol will go the carburetor. Hopefully, it will work, at least for some time...

Quite often, labeled instructions are inverted on Chinese stuff, perhaps it is the case!

I believe I've seen a number of G22's that the fuel supply hose (from the tank) has the filter in line right over the fuel pump. The hose then continues in a sort of "U" bend to connect to the fuel pump inlet. The pump's outlet going on to the carb which is on the fuel tank side of the motor. It is backwards of a Club Car pump.

I would think you could take a small punch and break those little tabs off inside the screw heads and then remove the screws and turn the pulse cover 180 degrees and everything would be ok. take the punch and hit the little tab sideways and it'll break right off. done it many times on many different projects, no problem

Thats what I'd do.

Install it with the pulse pointed down, just like it is.

Thanks (again) Dave that's what I was thinking. I just need to pick up some 5/16 fuel line because what's on there now is too short.

If I was you I'd do all fuel lines while you're at it they tend to get brittle and stiff after time fuel line replacement is a good preventive maintenance that often gets over looked

Harbor freight has a $10 200 piece bit set that includes "security torx", and a whole slew of other oddball bits and the tiny Allen and torx bits. Worth the money to have around.
