So you think just not use the new harness and make my own or use the rest omitting the igniror and coil sections of the new harness.
That all depends on what is damaged. If other parts of the harness are bad then use the new one but omit the coil and ignitor portions.

CP241, have you verified with the timing light that it is advancing? What’s the timing curve like on these Chrysler boxes?

Honestly I've got no basis for comparison since the ignitor in my G9 was junk from the day I bought it. But what I can say is I bought 4 of the aftermarket ones, and all of them were junk. I spent $30 on the Chrysler stuff and it still runs like a champ. I've run it hard in 100+ degree GA heat as well as around 35 degrees. Any colder than that I'm sure it would be fine but I wont be leaving the house...

It runs around 18-20mph with the governor about halfway tightened down on 20" tires. I've got zero complaints about power or reliability. If I had to do it again, no question I would do it exactly the same way.

Ground is ground. They all lead to the negative battery terminal.

Will it work? Yes. It’s the same engine. However, I’d still recommend an oem ignitor if you can swing the $ or find a used one. they’re about $300 new, but I’ve seen used ones on eBay for about $100
